Tashlich Potluck
Sunday, September 17, 2023 • 2 Tishrei 5784
5:30 PM - 7:00 PMGarry Point Park - meet at the NeedleTashlich comes from the Hebrew word meaning "to cast," referring to the intent to cast away our sins via this meaningful and ancient Jewish custom. While it is common to use bread which may harm our water and the animals that live within, this year consider:
•Small pebbles
•Bark or small twigs
•Bird seed
•Reverse our environmental impact (https://www.repairthesea.org/rt2022); rather than cast off our sins, bring a bag to collect human sins (i.e. trash and debris)
Following this service/short ritual, we will join together for a communal potluck.
