Sale of Chametz 5784/2024

CHAMETZ SALE 5784/2024!

On Passover, we are required not only to refrain from eating chametz, but not to own any chametz (bread products or derivatives of bread products). Where this is impractical, Jewish law allows for chametz to be sold to someone who isn't Jewish. You can do this yourself or designate Rabbi Tendler as your agent to do this on your behalf by using the form below.

The deadline is Friday, April 19th, 11:00am. Though we do not accept monetary gifts for this service, it is customary to make contributions to the Synagogue which then funds individuals in need of food for Seder, fulfilling the verse from the haggadah “all who are hungry, come and eat."

AUTHORIZATION FOR THE SALE OF CHAMETZ FOR PASSOVER 5784/2024

By filling out this form, I hereby authorize Rabbi Tendler to sell all chametz that may be in my possession, wherever it may be – at home, a place of business or elsewhere. Rabbi Tendler has full right to sell, dispose, and conduct all transactions pertaining to the sale of my chametz, the above power hereby being given to conform with all Torah and Rabbinic regulations and laws.
